"That was short!"

Those were the first words I got from Lorili after her first day of Kindergarten.
Catchin' the bus

Lorili started Kindergarten on Monday, and it would be an understatment to say that she has been waiting for this day. It has been the focus of everyday since we moved into the house. So we did the school supply shopping, and the clothes shopping to help move time along.

Kindergarten is half-day out here and she was assigned to the afternoon session, which is great. The school bus picks her up outside our back door after lunch, Gabe goes down for a nap, I get some "stuff" done without interruption, Lorili gets dropped off around 4pm at the back door and then we wake Gabe up. It's worked out great for the last two days....with the exception of the two neighbors who are upset that we are using our private drive that runs by their houses to let the bus pull through.

Lining up!

I love how Julie said it: Gabe "wishes he had a grade!"

So glad Lorili had a fun day!! I can totally see her saying that it was too short! Just wait Lorili, you'll be going all day for a LONG time!

She looked very cute for her first day! Kindergarden? Time flies!
That's nice that they have half day, but isn't four really late to be getting out of school?

Tell Lorili she makes a great kindergartener! I always had visions of kids who wanted to go to school like I did when I was little and somehow the Garrett gene pulled through and they all dread it--oh well--I love their first day of school more than I used to love mine--one word: freedom!

Lorili, you are one cute girl! How awesome that the bus comes right to your door. Wish that was the case here. Probably, makes it a little easier on you, too. Landon is gone from 8 to 4 and I think it's LONG - isn't there a happy medium?!

That is funny that her first works home from school was "that was short", because Danny's first words were "that was long". They only have all day kindergarten here so it was a very long day for him. Looks like things are going good for you guys. She looks so cute.
