"Gabe-Can you say Permanent?"....."pu-ma-nent!"

Yes-it was bound to happen. I was busy packing away our books, Lorili was busy accessorizing her hair with her tub of hair clips, and Thor was busy snoozing on the bed when Gabe got his hands on a permanent marker that I was using to lable boxes! Yep-it was me, I left the marker out, and Gabe wasted no time. I was taking out some boxes when he got a hold of it. I came back in to find him sitting RIGHT NEXT to Lorili, in PLAIN SIGHT of Thor (if he had been awake), and had his pant legs pulled up to his knees. He was having a splendid time and was quite upset with me when I had to wrestle the marker from his hands.

But I must say that I am thankful...thankful that he didn't color on the recently painted walls, or our newly purchased conforter, or the carpet, or any other uncleanable surface! This was a brush with disaster-and I've learned my lesson!

Perhaps we didn't punish him severely enough, do you see any remorse in that face? Not a chance! And that pen on his belly...he did that the next day while sitting on Thor's lap at the computer:) How does that happen?!?!?

This is awesome. We have had a run in with the Sharpie around here too. It was only once, but Colby did get some marks on our desk. Luckily it is not too obvious. The pen marks however, that is a daily occurace around here. Why do they think it is so fun to write on themselves?

That is really funny! You knew it was bound to happen sometime. All kids have to find the permanent markers! It'll come off-someday!

Lovely! When Landon did it he was only 10 mos old and so I found him chewing on it - all over his face and clothes - it was horrible. I feel your pain. No guilt for you, though, Gabe didn't INGEST the stuff!!
