Flat Patricia

Trinity, a first grader in Washington, sent us a paper doll named Flat Patricia. She asked us to take Flat Patricia around with us and send pictures, postcards, souveniers, etc., from where we live. So we took Flat Patricia on an adventure! Last night we rode the carousel at the mall:and visited the Herkey's at the playplace. I think Herkey is the best way to represent IOWA! This morning we headed out to the Cheese Factory in Kalona for some deliciously fresh cheese curds! Can you see them mixing?

Then we stopped at a nearby trail and had a nice hike.
This is about as exciting as it is out here in Iowa in March. Still cold and windy-waiting for spring to come!

I bet Flat Patricia had so much fun spending time with your special family. She kind of looks like Lorili with her blonde hair!
It was very nice of all of you to show her such a good time. Does she have to go back home to Seattle now?

how did flat patricia get your name? You're always doing something so fun. Is Lorali in a pen pal group or something - if there is such a thing you would know about it! How do you do it. When I think of someone that can do it all (cooking, cleaning, throwing a great party...) I think of you.

Waiting for Spring to come is RIGHT!! Yay for warmer weather. I am in NH at my parents' right now, but Jared says it's beautiful there - go figure...just when I leave!
